Tom Holland’s Peter Parker isn’t the only Spider-Man to tamper with the multiverse. Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales was doing it in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and on June 2, he’ll be doing it again.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will see Morales’ web embark on yet another animated journey across the multiverse in a story so huge it needs to be split into two parts.

Following the events of his earlier (and critically acclaimed) adventure which saw him team up with a gang of parallel universe Spider-Men/Women to take down a network of villains controlled by the Kingpin, Morales is drawn into the multiverse once more by her Spidey pal Gwen Stacey, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld.

This two-part adventure promises more mind-blowing action and a glorious blend of eclectic animation styles that not only gave its live-action MCU counterpart a run for its money, but won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature of 2019.

Here’s everything we currently know about Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse.

Set shortly after the events of the first film, Morales finds himself approached by multiverse Stacy AKA Spider-Woman who asks for his help with a dangerous mission that could help save every Spider-Man in every universe.

With a dark new villain on the loose with powers that threaten multiple realities, Morales and Stacy join forces with a supergroup of Spider-Man’s protectors made up of web-slingers from different universes.

Together, they devise a plan to bring down their mysterious new enemy, but when Morales finds himself at odds with their leader’s grand plan, saving the day becomes infinitely more complicated.

This time, directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson take over the first part of Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, working from a script written by The Lego Movie Phil Lord and Chris Miller, together with screenwriter by Wonder Woman 1984 David Callaham.

As it stands, little is currently known about the plot of Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, closer to the trilogy, other than a tentative release date of Friday, March 29, 2024.
