In May Disney+ marks May 4 by releasing not one but two new Star Wars shows.
Elsewhere on the television front, Everything Everywhere All At Once co-stars and recent first-time Oscar winners Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh reprise their roles in American Born Chinese, a hilarious original action series with a supernatural twist directed by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton.
And for the mayhem of an altogether more Muppet variety, titled The Muppets Mayhem — an all-new series following The Electric Mayhem’s attempts to record their first studio album — it’s absolutely unmissable.

Rounding out the streamer’s original TV outing for the month are the long-awaited third season of the reality show The Kardashians, the WWII limited series A Small Light, and Ed Sheeran: The Sum of it All, a four-part docuseries share getting up close and personal with the global pop megastar.

Focusing on the recent death of Sheeran’s best friend and longtime collaborator Jamal Edwards and his wife Cherry Seaborn’s cancer diagnosis while pregnant, this promises to be a gritty and honest account of a turbulent time and the music that has inspired.

Cybernetic Jedi, lightsaber-wielding ronin, and intergalactic rock bands populated the first visually striking series of Star Wars Visions. And now the animated anthology series is back, with animation studios from around the world offering their own unique takes on that galaxy far, far away. Highlights from this nine-episode season include Screecher’s Reach, Cartoon Saloon’s Star Warsy idea of an Irish ghost story, and I Am Your Mother, which allows the masters of Chicken Run Aardman to bring together two of our favorite things: podracing and claymation. With anticipation growing for the upcoming The Acolyte series, set during the High Republic era of Star Wars, this primarily youth-oriented show is the first chance for fans to see an exciting new era represented on screen. Set 200 years before the prequel trilogy, in a time of peace during which the Jedi Order flourished, Young Jedi Adventures follows a group of wide-eyed padawans as they begin their journey to become Jedi Knights. Carrying moral lessons about the importance of compassion, teamwork, and patience, the Force is strong with this one.

Led by Avengers: The Kang Dynasty director Destin Daniel Cretton, Lucy Liu, and an all-star ensemble including Ke Huy Quan, Michelle Yeoh, and Stephanie Hsu, this one has it all, everywhere all at once and then some.
The Kardashians S3 | Weekly from 25 May
The cameras roll back as Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie invite viewers back into their lives as they explore motherhood, co-parenting and building their own empires. Their bond will be tested and tensions will arise, but as a family they will weather the storm together.
